Great South Bay Oyster Project

Save the Great South Bay, a non-profit dedicated to revitalizing the Great South Bay, is hosting a volunteer opportunity at the Bay Shore Yacht Club. The organizations are seeking "five or six" volunteers to help maintain the crates of baby oysters growing in the yacht club's community oyster gardens. Two hours are needed to rinse down the crates and measure the growth of the spat on shell. It's a great opportunity for families and community service hours are available. Email info@savethegreatsouthbay.org with any questions. Click here to sign up.
