Woman Injured After Car Crashes Into Bay Shore Storefront: Police

The driver had suffered a medical emergency, police say.

BAY SHORE, NY — A patron was injured after a car drove into a Bay Shore storefront on Friday, Suffolk County Police said.

At about 9 a.m., a 74-year-old woman, who suffered an apparent medical event, drove her Ford Explorer through the glass storefront of a Fifth Avenue business.

One woman in the store was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The driver was transported to a local hospital, police said.
