Bayside Hospital CEO Named One Of Queens Business Persons Of The Year
Dr. Edwin Simpser was recognized by the business network after working for more than 20 years in St. Mary's.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — The president of Bayside’s St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children was named one of Queens Chamber of Commerce’s Business Persons of the Year in 2022.
Dr. Edwin Simpser, who doubles as the CEO of the children's hospital, was recognized by the business network after working for more than 20 years in St. Mary’s.
“This award is just a testament to the tireless work that our staff does every day to provide the highest level of care to some of New York City’s most medically fragile children,” said Simpser.

Simpser joined the hospital as a chief medical officer in 1999.
“Thanks to Dr. Simpser's leadership, St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children is one of Queens' vital institutions, playing a key role in making our community such a great place to live, work and raise a family,” said Tom Grech, president and CEO of the Queens Chamber of Commerce.

Simpser and the rest of the honorees were recognized at the Queens Chamber of Commerce’s Business Persons of the Year Awards Gala on Tuesday, December 6th at Terrace On the Park.
