Couple renews vows at The Parker Jewish Institute
A husband and wife celebrated a major milestone in their marriage.

A husband and wife celebrated a major milestone in their marriage in April at The Parker Jewish Institute in New Hyde Park.
Emily and Philip Greene renewed their wedding vows in celebration of their 35th anniversary. The festivities took place at Parker, where Philip is a resident.
Having shared the joys, blessings and challenges of married life, both Emily and Philip were eager to reaffirm their love and commitment to each other to make their marriage grow and blossom in the years to come. At the ceremony, they renewed their vows before their guests, the Parker patients and residents whom the Greenes have come to know since Philip came to Parker in July of 2022.

At the renewal ceremony, the couple vowed to nurture their love, respect, trust and understanding of each other, in order to increase their contentment and heighten their joy in living. The heartfelt ceremony brought tears of joy to all who attended.
Emily told stories of the couple’s adventures and joked that her Parker wedding was much larger than their first.

After the vows were exchanged, Emily sang “My Buddy,” a popular song recorded by many artists, including Doris Day. This was a song that the couple held dearly, as Emily had dedicated it to Philip back when they first started dating. A special wedding cake was enjoyed by all.
The entire Parker community wishes the Greenes many more years to celebrate their love and their lives together.
