Little Neck Church, NYPD Host Drive For Turkey Earthquake Victims

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A Little Neck church and the police’s Middle Eastern and Turkic group will collaborate in a drive to help families in Turkey and Syria after the magnitude 7.8 and 7.5 earthquakes shook the countries last week.

Residents in Northeastern Queens can go to Edge City Church located at 46-16 Little Neck Parkway to donate supplies for babies in Syria and Turkey between Feb. 15 and Feb. 19.

The baby drive was coordinated with the NYPD’s Middle Eastern and Turkic Society. Donors are asked to bring diapers, wipes and vegetarian baby food.

Donations can be dropped off at the church on Wednesday starting at 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.; Thursday, Friday, and Saturday until 4 p.m.; and Sunday until 1 p.m.
