BAYSIDE, QUEENS — Foodies in Northern Queens are getting ready for their favorite city holiday, which luckily takes place twice a year.

New York City Restaurant Week is back for the summer and a restaurant in Northern Queens is taking part in the initiative.

General reservations for the month-long "week" went live earlier this month at the official NYC Restaurant Week site. The opening will give hungry New Yorkers an early chance to snag a table for the July 24 to Aug. 20 event, billed as a chance to explore the city "one bite at a time."

"Enjoy prix-fixe meals at hundreds of restaurants across the five boroughs," the event's site states.

Restaurant Week is served up twice a year across the city in the winter and summer.

Foodies in Northern Queens can head to La Baraka, located at 255-09 Northern Blvd. The restaurant has served French and North African cuisine since it opened in the 1970s.

La Baraka will participate all four weeks, offering a $ 30 lunch and a $30 dinner.
