BAYSIDE, QUEENS — A middle school in Auburndale received a bomb threat on Thursday, which police deemed false after investigating the building, according to the NYPD.
Two students allegedly told a man on the street about 10:30 a.m. that they placed a bomb in the school, police said.
The man called the school and the authorities to warn them about the bomb threat, and the students remained in the classroom while the NYPD investigated the building, police said.
