Over 1,000 Trees Planted In Bayside, Whitestone Areas

Honey locust trees were planted in the district, according to the office of Council Member Vickie Paladino.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — Over 1,000 trees were planted by the Parks and Recreation Department on Tuesday in the neighborhoods covering District 19, including Bayside, College Point, and Whitestone.

Honey locust trees were planted in the district, according to the office of Council Member Vickie Paladino.

“District 19 is one of the greenest parts of the city, and I’m proud to help ensure it stays that way!,” said Vickie Paladino in a tweet.
