The Parker Jewish Institute hosted a sold-out gala at the Village Club at Lake Success on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. The annual gala featured live music, a gourmet menu, opportunities to connect with fellow supporters and community leaders, a Resident Art Auction and more.

All proceeds from the gala will advance Parker’s mission to enhance programs and services for patients and residents, while also supporting the thousands who benefit from the Institute’s comprehensive continuum of care each year. Parker remains steadfast in meeting the challenges of a rapidly growing adult population through patient-centered innovation and services, while upholding the warmth and compassion that have long defined its care.

The 2025 gala featured a fine dining experience, with elegant kosher offerings and Indian cuisine available upon request. WCBS 880’s Marla Diamond returned as Master of Ceremonies. Radio Host and Rabbi Joseph Potasnik once again led the Hamotzi, the blessing over bread. The evening’s entertainment included a performance by Wanda Houston, whose repertoire spans jazz and R&B. Guests had the opportunity to bid in the Patient Artwork Auction, showcasing the creativity of Parker’s talented artists.

The gala highlighted Parker’s dedicated team members, some of whom have served the Institute for more than 25 years, delivering exceptional health care and rehabilitation to adults in the region.

“Our success at Parker Jewish Institute is built on our team – the remarkable individuals who make excellence possible every day. Through their compassion and skill, we provide individualized health care wherever it’s needed most, whether on-site at Parker or at home. We are deeply grateful to our dedicated team members and to the many supporters whose commitment and generosity make our mission possible,” said Michael N. Rosenblut, President and CEO of Parker Jewish Institute.

At the gala, a moment of silence was held for the memory of Dr. Saroj Shah, who was instrumental in establishing Parker’s Indian Cultural Unit, which continues to thrive today.
