The Parker Jewish Institute rings in 2025
Festivities include 'Sea of Lights' New Year's Eve Ball Drop celebration for Residents and Patients

The Parker Jewish Institute rang in the New Year in style when local fire departments presented a “Sea of Lights” celebration, which was followed by a Times-Square-style Ball Drop on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 5:15 p.m. The merriment helped residents, patients and their family members welcome the New Year.
The Parker community gathered to see the dazzling light display to begin their New Year’s Eve festivities, which continued with refreshments and live music. Members of Engine 251 of Glen Oaks, the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department, Garden City Fire Department, New Hyde Park Fire Department, the 105 Precinct and SeniorCare EMS supported the Sea of Lights celebration. The Times-Square-style Ball Drop was designed and built at Parker.
“This is a spectacular light show, and we are so appreciative of our first responders – not just on New Year’s Eve, but all year long. Their commitment to keeping our community safe is steadfast. And of course, we give special thanks to the Parker community in designing, building and activating our very own Ball Drop. Their extraordinary efforts tonight help brighten our celebration as we wish everyone a very Happy and Healthy New Year,” said Michael N. Rosenblut, President and CEO of Parker Jewish Institute.
