Person Trapped In Vehicle After Crash Near Bayside, FDNY Says

Fire officials didn't answer Patch's question about the person's condition, simply saying that the person was taken to a nearby hospital.

QUEENS, NY — One person was trapped in a vehicle after a crash Monday morning near Bayside, according to the FDNY.

The crash happened at about 7:30 a.m. near the Cross Island Parkway and 160th Street, officials said.

Fire officials rushed to the scene and removed the person from a vehicle, the FDNY said, noting that the person was then taken to a nearby hospital.

Reached for comment, the FDNY did not respond to Patch's question as to the person's condition.

Officials also did not respond to a question about how many and what kind of vehicles were involve in the crash.
