Speeding Motorcyclist Killed In Bayside Highway Crash: NYPD

The 36-year-old biker was killed on Cross Island Parkway when he crashed into a median and was hit by a Bentley early Monday, cops said.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS -- A speeding motorcyclist was killed near Bayside early Monday morning when he crashed on a Queens parkway and was hit by a woman driving a Bentley without a license, police said.

The 36-year-old man was speeding north along Cross Island Parkway at about 12:15 a.m. when he crashed into a median near Northern Boulevard and went flying from his 2006 Honda motorcycle into oncoming traffic, authorities said.

While lying in the roadway, the man was hit by a 2013 Bentley. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

The luxury car's 33-year-old driver, Jevaughn Hodge, of Long Island, was arrested at the scene for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, though cops said she didn't appear to be at fault in the crash.

Police did not immediately release the motorcyclist's name.

Just hours earlier, another biker from Brooklyn was killed in Queens after crashing his 2017 red Jiang motorcycle into a 2017 BMW on Cross Bay Boulevard in Howard Beach, authorities said.

Elvin Veras-Polanco, 33, of Prospect Heights, was driving himself and a 28-year-old passenger at about 9 p.m. on Sunday when he slammed into the BMW near 162nd Avenue, sending both men flying into the roadway, police said.

Medics rushed the two to Jamaica Hospital, where Polanco died. His friend is listed in critical condition, authorities said.

The 19-year-old BMW driver and her two passengers suffered minor injuries from the crash, police said. She was not charged.
