Talk With DOE Chancellor About Bayside's Schools At Tuesday Forum
Chancellor David Banks is taking Baysiders' questions and comments about public schools at a once-every-two-year town hall on Tuesday.
BAYSIDE, QUEENS — Neighbors in Bayside can tell the leader of the New York City Department of Education what they think about local public schools at a town hall this week.
Community District Education Council 26, which encompasses swaths of northeast Queens including most of Bayside, is holding a virtual town hall with Chancellor David Banks at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Streamed live online, the biannual meeting will give residents the chance to talk with the school chancellor, hear community concerns, and ask pre-submitted questions, according to CEC 26.

The education council encourages community members to submit questions and comments ahead of time online — especially since the hour-long meeting only comes once every two years. Questions can be submitted in English, Chinese, Korean, and Spanish.
Members of the council will be collecting, reviewing, and asking Chancellor Banks the questions on behalf of neighbors during the meting, organizer said.
