Thursday: Bayside Blood Drive, Rosh Hashanah Cards at Samuel Field Y

Victor Mimoni, a spokesman for Councilman Dan Halloran, will host a blood drive today at Bayside's Long Island Rail Road station from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Those who make an online appointment will be eligible to receive a $25 American Express gift card that has been provided by the Bayside Village Business Improvement District. Appointments can also be made by calling Halloran’s office at 718-631-6703.

And the Samuel Field Y will be selling Rosh Hashanah cards made by Alzheimer's patients from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Proceeds will assist the Y's dementia care services.
