11-yr-old Injured by Stray Bullet on Gates and Throop Friday Night

No arrests have been made

An 11-year-old girl is in serious condition after being injured by a stray bullet Friday night.

According to police, the girl was standing on the corner of Gates and Throop, holding her younger sister at approximately 8:30 p.m. when a fight broke out between two groups of men who came rushing from around the corner and began shooting at one another.

A stray bullet hit the 11-year-old in the neck. The younger sister was not injured. The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital where she is listed in serious condition as the bullet remains lodged in her neck, police said.
 
No arrests were made, and the investigation is ongoing
