Bed-Stuy Resident Assaulted in Own Apartment Building, Police Say
The alleged attack went down around midnight in the vicinity of Patchen Avenue and Bainbridge Street.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Brooklyn police are seeking two men who they say went through the trouble of assaulting a man to steal his two gold chains in Bed-Stuy.
Around 12:30 a.m. Jan. 31, two men in the vicinity of Patchen Avenue and Bainbridge Street followed a 45-year-old man into his residence, according to an NYPD news release. One of the men displayed his gun, and after a struggle, they removed the victim’s two gold chains and fled in an unknown direction, police said.
The victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition and was treated for minor scratches and bruises to his head and hands, police said.

One of the attackers is described as black with a slim build. He was last seen wearing all black. The other was black, with a medium build, and was last seen wearing black clothing and white sneakers, police said.
