The pair jumped in front of a C train around 4:45 p.m., officials said.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A man and a woman died after jumping in front of a train at the Broadway Junction subway station in Brooklyn Thursday afternoon, the NYPD said. The Manhattan-bound C train struck the pair around 4:45 p.m., according to FDNY and MTA officials.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital, the NYPD said. Both appeared to be in their 30s, a police spokesman said.
The incident roiled A and C train service during the evening rush hour. The MTA warned of limited service on both lines in Brooklyn and Queens. The Long Island Rail Road was accommodating subway straphangers at no extra cost.
