21-Year-Old From Bed-Stuy Killed In Tractor Trailer Crash: Cops
Jahir Moody ran a red light and slammed into the truck near Atlantic Avenue and Hicks Street just after 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, cops said.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A 21-year-old from Bed-Stuy has died after crashing into a tractor trailer in Brooklyn Heights early Tuesday morning, according to police.
Jahir Moody, who lived on Tompkins Avenue, was driving a Kia Forte up Hicks Street when he ran a red light and collided with a tractor trailer that had been driving west on Atlantic Avenue, police said.
He and a 22-year-old passenger in the car were taken to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries, police said on Tuesday afternon.

The 22-year-old passenger is in stable condition, according to police.
The 32-year-old driver of the tractor trailer stayed on the scene after the crash and refused medical attention, police said.
