88-Year-Old Alvarez Simmonds Missing from Bed-Stuy Home
Simmonds was last seen on the evening of May 18, according to the NYPD.
BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for an 88-year-old Bed-Stuy resident who has been missing since Wednesday.
Alvarez Simmonds (pictured above) was last seen on May 18 just before 7 p.m. at his residence, located at 864 Gates Ave., according to the NYPD.
Detectives describe Gates as a black male standing five-feet-eight-inches tall and weighing 155 pounds.

He has brown eyes, short black hair, and was last seen wearing brown pants, brown shoes, and a maroon, waist-length jacket.
Anyone with information on Alvarez's whereabouts can confidentially report it via the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers website or anonymously call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
