Anime-Themed Celebration Of 'Inner Geekdom' Headed To Bed-Stuy
Cosplay, anime screenings and collectors will be featured in the "ANIME-Zing" event on Saturday, according to organizers.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A celebration of Brooklynite's "inner geekdom" is on its way to Bed-Stuy this weekend.
The Bed-Stuy Gateway Business Improvement District has put together an all-afternoon event they are calling "ANIME-Zing" that will honor the world of anime on Saturday. Anime is a popular style of Japanese film and television animation.
The celebration will include a game truck, guest speakers, an anime screening and tables for collectors, illustrators and artists, according to organizers.

It will be held at Restoration Plaza starting at 4 p.m.
Throughout the afternoon, anime fans can take part in "geocaching expeditions" to win prizes and special discounts or offers at local businesses on the corridor. Among the prizes will be four tickets to Comic Con.
