Armed Robbers Take $10K, Lottery Tickets From Bed-Stuy Bodega: PD

The duo also stole the cashier's cell phone and credit cards, police said.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Police are searching for a pair of armed robbers who stole $10,000 and hundreds of dollars worth of lottery tickets from a Bed-Stuy bodega earlier this week.

The duo, both wearing masks and hoods, walked into the bodega near Lexington and Franklin avenues just before 11:30 p.m. on Monday demanding money, according to police.

One of the thieves held the 39-year-old worker at gunpoint while the other filled a bag with New York State Lottery scratch-off tickets and cash from behind the counter, police said. The second suspect also took the worker's cell phone and credit cards, police said.

The duo fled on foot with approximately $10,000 in cash and $700 in lottery tickets, according to police.

Nobody was injured in the incident, police said.

Police described the suspects as menin their mid 20s and released photos taken from surveillance footage inside the store:
