Bed-Stuy Bar 'Oddly Enough' Workers File Union Application

The queer bar, which opened in spring, has found itself at the center of social media allegations that it mistreats workers.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Workers at a Bed-Stuy bar are saying "enough!"

Servers, bartenders, and kitchen employees of the queer bar Oddly Enough on Tompkins Avenue have filed for a union election with the National Labor Review Board.

That means that the union, called the Brotherhood of Oddly Enough Workers, has obtained enough signed union cards to seek recognition through holding an election.

The Brotherhood of Oddly Enough Workers is seeking to represent nine workers at the bar, which opened last April to much fanfare.

Some Oddly Enough workers appear to have taken to social media to report problems receiving compensation, but Patch was unable to independently confirm those claims.
