BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — For many Brooklyn families, this holiday season could be another tough one, as the city still climbs its way out of pandemic-induced financial hardships.

In Bed-Stuy, Council Member Chi Ossé is trying to make the hard times sting a little less.

His office is teaming up with the Friends of Bower Park to host a holiday toy drive, Ossé announced today.

"As Brooklyn progresses through its economic recovery but still faces the potential for recession on the near horizon," his office said, "many families are struggling to purchase gifts and toys for their children this holiday season."

People are invited to donate unwrapped toys by dropping them off at his Restoration Plaza office between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday from now until Dec. 6.
