Bed-Stuy Driver Charged With Killing Grandmother: Police
Tyler Green, 22, faces a murder charge months after the crash that claimed the life of Lynn Christopher and hurt her 8-year-old, cops said.
BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A suspect has been arrested months after a horrific Bed-Stuy crash left a grandmother dead and her grandson injured, police announced Thursday.
Tyler Green, 22, was arrested Thursday on a slew of charges, including murder, about four months after the June 25 crash that claimed the life of 67-year-old Lynn Christopher, according to the NYPD.
Christopher and her grandson, 8, were crossing the street near Ralph Avenue and Macon street when a Honda SUV came barreling toward them, police said.

Christopher's family told the Daily News that the arrest brings little comfort as they focus on 8-year-old Jacob Butler's recovery.
“We had that in the back of our heads and now we’re trying to focus on moving forward. It’s not like it’s going to change anything," said Christopher’s son, Marvin Christopher, to the Daily News.
Marvin told the Daily News that Butler is still suffering and struggles with recovery, with a swollen skull leaving him unable to see or talk.
Police said Green also faces charges of manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, assault, reckless endangerment, speeding, leaving the scene of an accident, criminal possession of stolen property and for having improper license plates.
