Bed-Stuy Man Found Fatally Shot In Brownsville, Cops Say

BROOKLYN, NY — A 25-year-old from Bed-Stuy was found fatally shot in Brownsville on Monday evening, according to police.

Kerwin James, who lived on Thomas Boyland Street, was found shot in the chest near Newport and Bristol streets in Brownsville just after 6:30 p.m., police said.

He was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There were no arrests in the killing as of Tuesday morning.
