Bed-Stuy McDonald's Worker Dies After Shooting, Gunman Arrested: Cops

The suspect, Michael Morgan, was arrested Wednesday for another Bed-Stuy murder in 2020, police confirmed.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — The Bed-Stuy McDonald's worker shot during a fight with a customer's mom has died and a suspect — arrested this week for another Bed-Stuy homicide two years ago — is behind bars, police announced Thursday morning.

Matthew Webb, 23, died from his wounds on Wednesday and Michael Morgan, 20, faces criminal charges, police said.

Webb, of Jamaica, was shot in the neck near the McDonald's on Fulton Street and Throop Avenue Monday night about 7 p.m. Monday night, police said.

New York Post sources said Webb was a McDonald's worker shot by the son of a woman he'd fought with inside the restaurant.

Two days later, police announced they'd arrested Morgan, of Bed-Stuy, for an October 2020 cold case murder that claimed the life of Kevin Holloman, 28, according to the NYPD.
