Bed-Stuy Spot Named One Of NYC's Best Vegan, Vegetarian Eateries
A total of eight Brooklyn restaurants made it onto Eater's list of "19 Stellar Vegan and Vegetarian Restaurants in NYC."
BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Calling all herbivores.
Eight Brooklyn eateries have been named among the city's best vegetarian and vegan restaurants, including one right here in Bed-Stuy.
Toad Style — a Kung Fu-themed vegan spot going on six years on Ralph Avenue — landed on Eater's recently-released list of "19 Stellar Vegan and Vegetarian Restaurants in NYC."

It is the only restaurant in the neighborhood to be included on the list, which also recognized some nearby options in Crown Heights and Clinton Hill.
The ranking isn't new for Toad Style, which has made several best-of lists since opening in 2015, including a few specifically for its veggie burger, according to its press page.

Opened by three friends, Toad's Place was named for a 1978 martial arts film and makes all its dishes from scratch, according to a profile in DNAinfo.
Here's the most recent praise from Eater:
"Head to this small counter in Bed-Stuy for casual dishes prepared without meat, soy, or palm oil. The chalkboard menu here boasts vegan versions of banh mi sandwiches, burgers topped with cashew-dill cheese, and California burritos stuffedwith shredded jackfruit and home fries."
