BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Newly-released body camera footage shows the moment a suspect in Bed-Stuy opened fire on police officers moments after shooting two men in a car, according to police.

The 11-minute video shows three perspectives of the late-night shootout, which unfolded May 12 when three officers headed toward the first shooting spotted 26-year-old Boyce Hayward near Saratoga Park.

When one of the cops got out of the car and walked toward him, Hayward took out a gun and let out five shots, police said.

The rest of the officers rushed out of the car and arrested Hayward, who was shot once in the buttocks when two of the cops returned fire, according to police and video.

"You'll f***ing die, you hear me? Don't move," one of the officers screamed at Hayward, who lay in the street next to his gun. "Don’t you touch it. I’ll blow your fucking head right off."

Hayward's shots hit one of the officers in the back, the buttocks and the thigh. The shot in his back lodged in his bullet-proof vest, according to police.

Cops later connected Hayward's gun to the first shooting, where they say Hayward walked up to a white SUV at the corner of Madison Street and Broadway and shot at three men inside. Randall Roberts, 28, was killed and another passenger was seriously injured, officials said.

Hayward was charged with murder, attempted murder of a police officer and other charges stemming from the incidents.
