Broadway Junction To Open For COVID Testing With Pop-Up Site
The Brooklyn station is one of five subway stops that will have coronavirus testing sites starting Thursday.

BROOKLYN, NY — Brooklyn's Broadway Junction is one of five subway stops that will set up pop-up coronavirus testing sites this week, according to the MTA.
The transit hub, which was also used to distribute vaccines this year, will offer free coronavirus testing to all travelers starting Thursday, Dec. 30 as city and state officials respond to record-breaking testing demand amid a surge of COVID-19 cases driven by the omicron variant.
“The recent COVID surge means we need to maximize the number of testing locations, including within the mass transit system” said MTA Acting Chair and CEO Janno Lieber. “Thanks to Governor Hochul, all agencies of government are joining forces to ensure that New Yorkers can get a vaccine, a booster, or a test quickly, and conveniently.”
