BROOKLYN, NY — Neighbors at the nearby Bushwick Houses will be the latest development in Brooklyn to get $30,000 to improve safety, according to the city.

The housing complex, with an event on Wednesday, is wrapping up deciding how to spend the $30,000 in city funding, which is allocated to the community from a program known as Local NeighborhoodStat (Local NStat).

The annual program brings together government agencies with neighbors to decide how to spend funding focused on improving safety and wellbeing in 15 New York City Housing Developments across the city.
