De Blasio's 1st Bed-Stuy Town Hall Meeting: Everything You Need To Know

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Mayor Bill de Blasio is planning to hold his first town hall meeting in Bed-Stuy to discuss issues affecting the community, a representative from Bed-Stuy Council Member Robert Cornegy's office confirmed Thursday. Cornegy will be the moderator of the meeting, where community members will have a chance to ask the mayor their burning questions. Here's everything you need to know about the forum:

WHERE: P.S. 23 Carter G. Woodson elementary school at 545 Willoughby Ave., between Marcy and Tompkins.

WHEN: 7 p.m., doors open at 6 p.m. so arrive early.

WHO: Hosted by the mayor, moderated by Cornegy and co-sponsored by Brooklyn's Community Board 3, Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation and Bridge Street Development Corporation.

HOW TO RSVP: Email townhallRSVP@cityhall.nyc.gov by Feb. 6 or call 212-788-1369. There is limited space so RSVP as soon as possible.

WHY: "District 36 constituents and other stakeholders have many concerns," Cornegy said. Don't be afraid to express yours.
