Driver Charged After Bed-Stuy Crash, Prospect Heights Man's Death:NYPD
Jamel Finney, 48, died 10 days after he was struck by Tanaisa Carhigh's car on Fulton Street, according to police.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A driver has been charged in the deadly October crash that left a man dead 10 days later, police said.
Prospect Heights resident Jamel Finney, 48, was crossing Fulton Street near Franklin Avenue on Oct. 19 about 11:30 a.m. when he was hit by a driver in a 2021 Ford Escape, police said.
Finney was rushed to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, but died 10 days later from head and body injuries, police said.

The driver, Brownsville resident Tanaisa Carhigh, 29, was taken into custody for impaired driving, which she was later charged with, in addition to vehicular assault, police said.
Over the past five years, the area of Fulton Street near Franklin Avenue has seen 42 crashes, resulting in 54 injuries, according to city data.
