Get Out: Brunch and Yoga, an Ice Cream Social and an Art Exhibit of Classic Album Covers

WHAT: The CoverLoverRemix Exhibition
WHEN/WHERE: Opening Friday, May 31 – Friday, June 14, BrandHunters,1083 Broadway, Bklyn
WHY GO: Debuting during the 2013 Bushwick Open Studios, CoverLoverRemix is an exhibit of classic and iconic album covers reinterpreted by emerging and established visual artists. The exhibit pays homage to the powerful imagery of album cover art, featuring the works of David Choate, Chanel Cook, Voodo Fe', Heidi Zito, Lexi Bella and others. The exhibit will open with a private reception, 7:30pm-9:30pm, and will feature a King NYC Pop-Up Shop, a BrandHunter’s-styled, customer photo shoot with photographerThomas Deal, and a BBQ in the backyard.

WHAT: Target First Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum: Life, Death, and Transformation in the Americas
WHEN/WHERE: Saturday, June 1, 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Parkway, Bklyn
WHY GO: At the Brooklyn Museum's Target First Saturdays, thousands of visitors enjoy free programs of art and entertainment each month. All evening long, the Museum Café serves a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, and beverages, and a cash bar offers wine and beer. Afro-Peruvian percussionist Marcos Napa and his band give a dynamic performance incorporating the dance, vocals, and instruments of Peru.
HOW MUCH: Free. Parking is a flat rate of $5 starting at 5 p.m.

WHY GO: Think summer whites & pastels & of course a small army of young classical musicians doing what they do. Gourmet pizza from Farinella, ice cream & face painting will also be part of the deal.
