The free jazz shows will be held two Fridays starting this weekend.
BROOKLYN, NY — Jazz fans in Brooklyn won't need to look any further than their local park to jam out next month.
A series of free jazz jam sessions is headed back to Fulton Street's Betty Carter Park in October, inviting fans and musicians alike to enjoy live music on two Fridays in the park.
The jam sessions — put on by the Brooklyn Music School and the FAB Fulton business alliance — will kick off this Friday, Oct. 1.

BMS faculty who are professional musicians will jam out at the park, which is found where Lafayette Avenue, Fulton Street and Fort Greene Place meet between 5 and 7 p.m., according to organizers.
"...If the mood hits you, you can bring your instrument and join in!," organizers wrote in a post shared by Council Member Laurie Cumbo.
