Man Charged With Murder In Bed-Stuy Double Shooting, Cops Say

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A 26-year-old man has been arrested in the double shooting that killedJermaine Hill-Cross earlier this fall, according to police.

Rahmell Howell, who lives in Red Hook, was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon late last week for the September killing, police said.

His arrest comes nearly two months after Hill-Cross, 23, was found shot in the chest on Clifton Place the afternoon of Sept. 10. He was taken to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A 42-year-old was also found on the Clifton Place block, shot in the buttocks, police said. He was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.

Police said Friday the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
