Man Shot in the Stomach, Falls from Fire Escape Wednesday on Herkimer St
Man survives shooting and fall from fire escape; police are investigating

81st Precinct Police are investigating a shooting incident involving a 33-year-old man found Wednesday night outside the back of his building on Herkimer Street, bleeding and injured.
According to police reports, on Wednesday, November 14, at 9:00 p.m., officers responded to calls of a male shot at 906 Herkimer Street (at Kane Pl.).
Upon arrival, officers were told by neighbors of a man shot in the rear of the building. Upon investigation, police learned the victim had gotten into a verbal dispute with at least two other men in the building, where the victim lived on the third floor.

In the heat of the dispute, one of the men shot the victim in the stomach, after which the victim attempted to run and escape through his window and down the fire escape. He fell off of the fire escape and landed in the rear of the building where police found him. However, he was "non-cooperative" in providing any detailed information surrounding the perpetrators of the incident.
The victim was transported to Kings County Hospital where he is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
