Man Stabbed 3 Times For $20 In Bed-Stuy Mugging, Police Say

Police are looking for four muggers who brutally attacked a man in Bed-Stuy on a Saturday morning just to steal $20.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A man was stabbed three times by four muggers who wanted the $20 he had in his pocket, police said.

The four men surrounded the 26-year-old on Atlantic Avenue between Nostrand and Bedford avenues about 9 a.m. on July 20, said police.

One man whipped out a knife and demanded he hand over his stuff before stabbing him in the chest and arm, said police.

The group then grabbed his cash and ran away, police said.

Emergency responders rushed the 26-year-old to Kings County Hospital where he is expected to survive his injuries, according to police.

Police released photos Sunday night and asked anyone with information about this incident to contact the NYPD.
