Police Hunt for Serial Chain Snatcher on Brooklyn Subway

He allegedly snatched three chains in the course of a week.

An unidentified 20something has been snatching chains from women’s necks as he rides the Brooklyn subway, NYPD officials say — and they need your help to track him down.

The suspect is believed to be about six feet tall and 160 pounds.

He began his spree at the Alabama Avenue station in East New York in the early-morning hours of July 22, police say. (The incident in which the above photos were captured.)

On the J Train platform... the suspect sat next to the 26-year-old female victim, snatched her chain from around her neck and fled the station.

The suspect’s next strike came at the Chauncey Street station in Bed-Stuy on the morning of July 26, according to the NYPD.

The suspect approached the 20-year-old female victim, snatched her chain from around her neck and fled on foot.

Police say his third attack came around 10 a.m. last Friday, July 31, while he was riding the A Train near the Utica Avenue station in Bed-Stuy.

The suspect grabbed a chain from around the 41-year-old female victim’s neck and fled the subway car as the doors opened.
