Police Seek Suspect In Scary Halloween Attack In Bed-Stuy: NYPD

The suspect is accused of smashing a woman in the head with a glass bottle, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — Police are searching for a perpetrator who randomly struck a 40-year-old woman on the head with a glass bottle in Brooklyn on Halloween, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to police, the unknown perpetrator approached the victim around 11 p.m. on Oct. 31 in front of 263 Nostrand Ave. in Bed-Stuy.

Then, the perpetrator struck the victim in the head with the glass bottle, causing a gash on her head, and ran away westbound on Nostrand Avenue, officials said.

Emergency responders rushed the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County in stable condition, police said.

As of Nov. 8 at 11 a.m., no arrests have been made, and the investigation is underway, police said.

Police provided a photo of a suspect in the case and said anyone with information about this incident can confidentially call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
