Prospect Gymnastics Opens In Bed-Stuy After 10 Years In Ditmas Park
With a larger space and new features, the Bed-Stuy location will offer expanded programming, including adult classes and cheerleading.

BED-STUY, NY — Bed-Stuy should get stretching — a new gym is in town offering gymnastics classes for all ages.
After 10 successful years in Ditmas Park, Prospect Gymnastics opened a second location on Bedford Avenue between Halsey and Hancock Streets.
"We're just really excited to be in Bed-Stuy," Assistant Head Coach Noelle Stone said.

New features like a spring floor, higher beam and larger bar will allow Prospect Gymnastics to open classes up to adults in addition to its regular offerings for Brooklynites as young as 18 months.
The new space will also see completely new programming like cheerleading and parkour, according to Stone.

The new location soft-opened in early November, and is expecting to ramp up its programming for a grand opening in December.
"We have had such great feedback from everyone," Stone said.
And after all the work getting open, it's been a blast to finally see kids finally on the trampoline and spring floor, Stone said. Given the area has a lot of young families, the Bed-Stuy location will likely add more programming for children ages 4 to 6, Stone said.
Beyond programming, Brooklyn-native-owned Prospect Gymnastics is hoping to become a community hub.
With a larger backyard and more indoor space, the Bedford Avenue spot will host community events, birthdays, workshops and holiday parties in a "warm, inviting environment" for locals to meet, Stone said.
"Our motto is 'Build Skills. Gain Confidence. Have Fun.' This reflects our belief that every time we raise an individual child up, we are building a stronger, more connected community," Prospect Gymnastics owners wrote on the gym's website.
