Guy in Marijuana-Leaf Hoodie Robs Brooklyn Bodega: NYPD

The armed robbery went down at a Weeksville bodega in the wee hours of May 20, police said.

WEEKSVILLE, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for two men (pictured above) who alleged robbed a local bodega at gunpoint on May 20.

According to police, at about 1 a.m. on that day, the suspects entered a store called Deli Grocery Group at 261 Buffalo Ave., pulled a gun on a 26-year-old employee and stole an unknown amount of money. The suspects then fled the store.

Detectives described the first suspect as a black male last seen wearing blue jeans, black sneakers and a read sweatshirt. The red sweatshirt was emblazoned with a large image of a marijuana leaf, according to a surveillance photo of the suspect.

The second suspect is a black male last seen wearing black sneakers and a black jacket, police said.

This alleged crime took place in the NYPD's 77th Precinct. According to official police statistics, through May 15, major crimes were collectively down in the 77th about 1 percent compared to the same time period last year.

A total of 82 robberies had been reported through May 15 in the precinct, compared to 94 reported robberies during that time period in 2015.
