BROOKLYN, NY — A teenager was shot and seriously wounded inside a Brooklyn public housing complex this weekend, police said.

The shooting occurred around 4:45 p.m. at the Brevoort Houses, located at 1831 Fulton Street near the corner of Fulton Street and Patchen Avenue, according to an NYPD spokesperson.

Officers from the 81st Precinct rushed to the scene after receiving a 911 call about gunfire, and found a 16-year-old boy inside the building with a gunshot wound to the stomach, police said.

The teen was taken to Kings County Hospital in critical condition, but his condition has since been upgraded to stable, according to police sources.
