Join the Coalition for the Improvement of Bedford Stuyvesant (CIBS) in partnership with Council Member Albert Vann and the Brooklyn Community Foundation for a free all-day event that will bring together local residents, food justice advocates, urban farmers and gardeners, local businesses, schools, educators and community organizations to examine wellness and access to healthy foods in Bed-Stuy.

Interactive workshops will include:
How To Eat And Cook Healthy On A Family Budget; A Tour Of Local Farmers’ Markets And Green Grocers; Basic Gardening And Composting Tips; How To Become A Bed-Stuy Healthy Food Advocate; Youth Presentations On Local Farming And Gardening; How To Become Involved With Bed-Stuy’s Green Community Mural Project; Information On What Schools In Bed-Stuy Are Doing To Eat Healthier And How You Can Get Involved; How To Cook Fresh, Organic Baby Foods; Kids Activities Including: Gardening, Fun Exercise And Art Projects; Outdoor Yoga And Exercise Demonstrations; Free Heath and EBT/WIC Screenings and Much Much More. All ages welcome!
