Video Shows Single Punch That Killed Bed-Stuy Man Outside His Home: PD
Victor Vega, 61, died in the hospital after a punch knocked him to the ground on Lexington Avenue, police said.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Video released by police this week shows the single punch that killed a man outside his home in Bed-Stuy late last month, according to police.
The fatal punch unfolded as Victor Vega, 61, was walking outside his home on Lexington Avenue near Nostrand Avenue just before 8:30 p.m. on May 25, police said.
Two men can be seen walking alongside Vega moments before the 61-year-old turns toward one of the men, putting his hand out, video shows. His attacker punches Vega once in the head, knocking him to the ground, according to the video.

Vega is left slumped half on the sidewalk and half on the roadway as his attackers appear to go through his pockets, video shows.
He was found unconscious with head trauma by emergency responders and died five days later in the hospital, according to police.

The city's Medical Examiner deemed the incident as a homicide, police said.
