WATCH: Bed-Stuy Bodega Clerk Robbed at Gunpoint

One man pointed a gun at the clerk, another grabbed cash from the register and a third served as lookout, police say.


BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Police are pursuing three men responsible for an armed robbery at a Bed-Stuy deli last month.

Around 6:25 p.m.on Saturday, Jan. 23, three unidentified black men entered the Pioneer grocery store at 4 Vernon Ave. to rob the 39-year-old male store clerk, according to an NYPD news release.

One of the men pointed a gun at the clerk, another went behind the counter and removed cash from the register, while the third stood as the lookout, police said. The three men then fled on foot.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the NYPD at 1-800-577-8477. Tips can also be submitted online or by texting 274637, then entering TIP577.
