Woman Pedestrian Killed by Curbed School Bus Near Bed-Stuy

Police said the bus driver was cut off by another car and drove up on the curb, hitting Brooklyn resident Gwendolyn Booker, 50.

A pedestrian woman was struck and killed by a curbed school bus on Atlantic and Schenectady avenues near Bed-Stuy Friday.

Police said the school bus was traveling eastbound on Atlantic Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Friday when it was cut off by another car, causing the driver to move onto the curb and hit Gwendolyn Booker, 50, from Chauncey Street in Brooklyn.

Booker was transported to Interfaith Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, according to police.

There were no arrests made and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
