Summary of Presentation:

Kasdyn spoke about the company's history and owner background, current projects, sales trends, and location updates. The company originated from a snow removal business, and Kasdyn shared his upbringing in Wisconsin, where he was born and raised for the first 18 years of his life.

Current projects include:

  • Applying new stickers to the dark green units purchased from a company in Peconic, NY, in the fall of last year.
  • A social media incentive program where A1 offers $5–$10 payouts to customers or friends who create content that A1 can share on their social media channels. Additional payments will be offered if the videos receive a high number of views.
  • A Milford Chamber of Commerce video project in the works: a potential short film featuring a mini horse walking through downtown as a promotional piece. Discussions have been ongoing with a filmmaker from the Chamber for the past month or two.
  • Monthly business growth meetings in NYC: A1 has been attending business workshops once a month to gather new ideas.
  • A potential university research internship initiative: A1 is considering utilizing Dr. Flush’s research (Donald — a scientist and engineer who has worked with the NASA space program) to research ways to make sewer treatment plants more efficient, compact, less odorous, and more affordable for local municipalities and regions.

Sales updates show A1 is up 2.75% year-to-date compared to last year. This growth is particularly surprising given the volatile political and business climate across all industries. It’s a strong start to the year 2025.

New sponsorships discussed at the meeting include:

  • Matt Tracy (pictured above), who will be racing the NETRA season on his dirt bike and is a successful local homeowner.
  • Jaiden Baptiste, a national quarter-midget racer previously featured in Patch newspaper. His family was racing in Florida the weekend of the meeting.
  • South Salem New York 5K Road Race: A1 Portable Toilet is now a sponsor, with their logo featured on the backs of the 600 runners' t-shirts for the Memorial Day Weekend event.
  • A possible future sponsorship with the Bristol, CT Little League Softball Association for the 2026 season was discussed. Although they have not been customers in the past, the organization seems promising. It was recommended by attendees to discuss the opportunity further with Mr. Haberfield, a local businessman and real estate owner from Bristol.

Fred spoke about the importance of representing the company both at work and outside of work. He shared his experience attending the Raylrode Daze Fair in Branchville, South Carolina, and emphasized opportunities for advancement within the company. He thanked the drivers for attending the presentation on their day off on a Saturday morning and gave a shout-out to Tony’s Coffee of Thomaston for providing coffee for the event.

Guest speaker Gabrielle Peters discussed her extensive 15 years of experience as a real estate business owner. She emphasized the importance of health, maintaining a work-life balance, and getting a quality eight hours of sleep each night. Gabrielle also noted how the Litchfield area has been featured prominently in recent weeks, with the opening of new hotels and businesses that are expected to bring many events — and opportunities — for A1 over the summer months.

Guest speaker Jeanna Condit spoke about her upbringing, her career path leading to success in both her professional and personal life, and her experience of becoming a homeowner. She also shared heartfelt stories from one of her favorite volunteer organizations and the people she’s had the chance to interact with through her volunteer work.
