Bedford Fire Department to Host Car Show, Block Party on Saturday
Festivities begin at 5 p.m.

This Saturday night, Bedford Village will be filled with more cars than usual.
The Village Green will be closed from the Presbyterian Church to north of the firehouse on Route 22 for the Bedford Fire Department's Block Party and Car Show. From custom to classic, hotrod to old-time-trucks, cars and motorcycles just waiting to be checked out will line the block.
"We have a lot of car enthusiasts in the fire department," said ex-fire chief Paul Aquilino, ex-fire chief, who now works for the fire district. "And with the block party aspect, this is something we do to give back to the community."

Aquilino expects around 300-400 people for the event, based on the success of their first one, held two years ago.
"The event is designed to pull together the community and for people to be able to visit and make new friends. It's not a fundraiser—we only charge what we need to offset the costs. We hope people come out to meet their neighbors," he said.
Spectator parking will be at St. Patrick's School and at Bedford Village Elementary School.
