Boo Girls Moving to Village Commons
The hip clothing store is relocating across the street.
If anyone panicked about the moving sale signs in the windows of Boo Girls, don't worry—you won't have to go far to access the hip clothing offered by the Katonah retailer.
This week, the store is packing its bags and wheeling its racks up one block and across the street, to 192 Katonah Avenue.
"We were desperate for another fitting room, and our current space had no room to build one," said owner Gaynor Scott.

The shop currently occupies 750 square feet of space at 151 Katonah Avenue. The new digs are slightly bigger, at 950 square feet.
But it's the configuration that's most pleasing to Scott.

"We have two walls of windows and it just feels more open," she said. The new space will allow for the third fitting room. But no other major changes are planned, she said.
The new shop will resemble the current space in both look and clothing lines; the black-and-brown leopard print carpeting and funky decorations will serve as the backdrop to such popular clothing lines as Juicy Couture and Free People.
The store will also be paying rent to a new landlord. It's vacating the building owned by Tom Antonecchia, local attorney and owner of Tom's in Katonah.
The new store is located in for $8.6 million by Urstadt Biddle Properties.
"We welcome them as a new tenant," said Kathleen Allen, a leasing associate with Urstadt Biddle. "Boo Girls will do well in that space; they're an established business and will bring new traffic to that building."
They agreed upon a ten-year lease, said Allen.
Urstadt Biddle, a Connecticut-based real estate investment trust, may announce new tenants for the available space at 196 Katonah Avenue later this week.
