The Bedford Police Department will tomorrow recognize a group of Bedford residents who survived a dangerous car crash because they were properly buckled up.
The residents, who were , will be presented with a plaque by Bedford Police Chief William Hayes who will commend them for their good judgement in wearing a seat belt as a life-saving measure.

The group was traveling on Old Post Road near Crusher Road on July 31 when Christopher Nemnom, the driver and sole passenger of a Honda CRV southbound on Route 22, crossed the double yellow line and collided with the victim's Honda Pilot.
The residents suffered non-life-threatening injuries at the time of the accident. Nemnom was found to be driving without a license and was arrested at the scene.

"We're having the event to identify individuals whose lives are saved or injuries significantly reduced because they were wearing a safety belt," said Police Sgt. Padilla. "It also encourages others to use them."
